I decided Monday night that it was time for the hair to come off. After dinner Ed and I went out on the back porch with the clippers and buzzed it all off. I have just a little layer of fuzz left and it is falling out quickly. It was a lot harder than I thought it would be. We both cried as we watched so much hair fall to the ground. Emma on the other hand thought it was funny. When it was done she rubbed the top of my fuzzy head and said, "Elliott hair". For those of you that aren't familiar, Elliott is one of her older brothers. He keeps his hair cut this way and she rubs his head often, so it was nice that she had a point of reference. Here are the before and after pictures. Drum roll please...
The picture quality isn't great, but you get the idea. So what do you think? It's not as bad as I thought it would be. The little bit of hair I have left is falling out quickly so I am thinking I'll be completely bald by this weekend. On a happier note, the rest of my body hair is falling
out as well. I shaved my legs on Monday and not one hair is growing back in! The only hair not letting go is my eyebrows. So once I'm bald I will look like two catepillars died on my face....that should be nice.Oh before I go, I want to send out some birthday love for my brother Brian and for my sweet sister-in-law Theresa. Happy Birthday!! We love you both!

I came upon your blog while surfing today. I am a visiting nurse in Canada so I have often cared for others like yourself. You are a beautiful woman and with Jesus, it is obvious that that beauty is inside and out. Lean onto Him during these times and hold onto His hand to guide you. Fran,I must admit, when I first saw the picture I cried, for you. However, I will say that you can now definitly just title the Elmer Fudd picture Robin, my friend from Virginia......because I may be the golden child in your eyes, but you know darn well that if I were to shave my head, it would be hideous. I have two moles, or warts, or bumps or sometihng strange that get abused just when I get my hair washed at the hair salon! I think you are as beautiful as ever and I'm am so proud of how you have handled everyting. I'm thankful to be your friend and take this journey with you!
