Feeling Green

Yesterday was the worst day so far. I woke up completely nauseous! Everything I smelled, looked at and even thought about eating made me feel so sick. I called the doctor's office and told them I'd be in at 1:00 to disconnect from my chemo bag, and they told me to come on in. They gave me another IV bag of Anzemet for nausea which helped immediately. Then they sent me home with a prescription for Promethazine. I take it every 4-6 hours as needed for nausea. It has worked wonders BUT it makes me sleep like the dead. I slept from 4pm to 7pm last night, woke up for 45 minutes and then went back to bed until 8 this morning. Needless to say I feel well rested! I woke up this morning feeling much better. I took the nausea medication to be safe, but so far I'm feeling human again. I'm going to take advantage of it and finish some last minute shopping today as well as pack for our trip home tomorrow. I hope you all have a blessed day!

  1. Fran, again I stop by to thank you for your support of my friend Kimberly as she goes through her journey with cancer.

I found your comments about people shaving their heads in support of you interesting. As I read about your battle with cancer, Kimberly's battle, and Elizabeth Edwards battle, I've wondered how best to offer my support to people fighting cancer.

In my case, since I'm pretty close to bald anyway, shaving my head would be especially meaningless.

So, I will do what I can. I hope my comments to you and to Kimberly will help be strength when you or Kimberly need it. I believe that your posts are providing important strength to Kimberly and I am very grateful for that.

I'm glad that you are feeling human again and I hope that you have a truly wonderful and blessed Christmas.

Bless you for continuing on with the Christmas preparations. I pray that your Christmas will be a peaceful celebration of the birth of our Savior!
